Playoff Eligibility

D) Playoffs:
1) Playoff Player Eligibility: To play in the Playoffs, a player MUST have played a MINIMUM of 8 games throughout the Regular Season. This will eliminate teams trying to bring 'Ringers' in just for the playoffs.
2) Playoff Call-ups: During playoffs, teams may call up a maximum of one player per game (from team in the same division only) from a team that did not make playoffs, if and ONLY if, the team is unable to field the minimum required number of players (5 skaters plus a goalie) to prevent forfeit of a game. Any called-up player is INELIGIBLE if the team has 5 skaters plus a goalie that are on the regular roster as teams are expected to play in the playoffs with the team players that got them there. If the selected player's team has a game on the same night, the player is NOT ALLOWED to play for the team that called him up (to prevent HIS team from being short). Any requests must be made through the alternate player's Team Rep and must be conveyed to both the League Convenor & Chief League Official (Joe & Dean). This rule is in place to prevent a forfeiture of a playoff game for lack of the minimum required number of players.

Just a reminder that if a 10 minute misconduct is received within the last ten minutes of the game a 1 game suspension is automatic. If this happens in one of your games, please fax the game sheet as soon as possible to avoid having players suspended for the incorrect game. Also, a reminder that Joe is not the one contact in these matters, it is Len or myself or preferably both of us.
Thank you, Guy Ouellette |
